UK Security Threat Index (UK-STI)

UK Security Threat Ratings – Overview

The table below presents Wellis Technology’s current security ratings for countries worldwide. These ratings form part of the UK Security Threat Index (UK-STI) and are designed to provide a transparent, comparative view of potential security risks to UK interests. This in no way should be considered to be part of the UK Governments security rating.

The index is based on a combination of publicly available data and clearly defined rules. Primary factors include hostile state activity, cyber capability, military capability, terrorism impact, and national stability. Each country is scored consistently using the same methodology.

This model is currently in a trial and refinement phase. We are actively reviewing our calculations, weightings, and data sources as we continue to improve accuracy and consistency.

These ratings are provided for information and transparency only. They should not be relied upon as a substitute for official government advice, intelligence assessments, or professional risk analysis. Use of this data is at your own discretion.

If you would like to understand how the ratings are calculated, or if you disagree with a country’s score, full details of the methodology are available here:
